Repair Work Limited Labor Warranty
Logik Holdings LLC, a Florida limited liability company, d/b/a Roofing Logik (“Contractor”)
1. Coverage
The Contractor provides a one (1) year limited labor warranty covering defects in workmanship for the specific repair work performed at the Property identified below, to the extent a workmanship defect directly causes water intrusion at the repaired area(s).
This warranty applies only to the Contractor’s workmanship for the authorized repair scope and does not guarantee the condition of the entire roof system or building envelope.
2. Warranty Period
The warranty begins on the Warranty Start Date listed below (typically the repair completion date) and continues for one (1) year.
3. Temporary Repairs (No Warranty)
No warranty is provided for any work the Contractor designates as a Temporary Repair.
A “Temporary Repair” includes any work intended to reduce active leakage short-term or stabilize conditions pending future permanent work, and includes (without limitation) roof cement/tar patches, sealant-only patches, tape/peel-and-stick spot applications, emergency coverings, or any line item labeled “temporary,” “emergency,” “stop-gap,” or similar.
Best practice: label temporary line items on estimates/invoices as TEMPORARY REPAIR (NO WARRANTY).
4. Exclusions
This limited labor warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear, aging, weathering, fading, or cosmetic changes.
- Routine maintenance and upkeep, including cleaning, resealing, and periodic inspections.
- Condensation or humidity-related moisture not caused by defective workmanship in the repaired area(s).
- Leaks not directly caused by defective workmanship in the repaired area(s).
- Leaks originating outside the repaired area(s), including walls, windows, stucco/siding, chimneys, skylights, or other penetrations not repaired.
- Pre-existing conditions, latent defects, or undiscovered damage in the roof, deck, structure, or building envelope.
- Acts of God / force majeure, including hurricanes, tropical storms, windstorms, hail, floods, or lightning.
- Impact, fire, vandalism, animals, foot traffic, misuse, or chemical exposure.
- Structural movement, settlement, deflection, or building/substrate defects.
- Alterations, penetrations, modifications, or repairs by parties other than the Contractor.
- Clogged or improperly maintained gutters, drains, scuppers, or downspouts.
- Ponding or drainage conditions not created by the Contractor’s repair scope.
- Material defects (materials are warranted, if at all, by the manufacturer under separate terms).
5. Limitations of Liability
If a covered workmanship defect is confirmed, the Contractor’s sole obligation is limited to repairing the specific warranted portion of the repair work.
This warranty does not cover consequential or incidental damages (including interior finishes, contents, loss of use, or mold remediation), except to the extent required by applicable law.
Governing Law
This warranty is governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
6. Notification and Claims
All claims under this warranty must be submitted in writing within ten (10) calendar days of discovering the condition. The Owner must provide reasonable access for inspection and repair.
Reroof Limited Labor Warranty
Logik Holdings LLC, a Florida limited liability company, d/b/a Roofing Logik (“Contractor”)
1. Coverage
The Contractor provides a five (5) year limited labor warranty on workmanship associated with the installation of the roofing system. This warranty covers defects in labor that result in leaks or other performance failures directly attributable to improper installation by the Contractor.
Scope note: This warranty applies to the Contractor’s workmanship only. Materials are warranted, if at all, by the manufacturer.
2. Warranty Period
The warranty is valid for five (5) years from the Warranty Start Date listed in the Project Information section below.
For purposes of this warranty, “substantial completion” means the date the reroof work is complete and a final inspection is requested or scheduled with the applicable authority having jurisdiction (AHJ), if an inspection is required.
3. Exclusions
This labor warranty does not cover damage or failures caused in whole or in part by:
- Acts of God, including hurricanes, tornadoes, windstorms, floods, lightning, hail, or other natural disasters.
- Structural movement, settlement, deflection, or defects in the building, substrate, or existing construction.
- Improper maintenance, neglect, or failure to mitigate damage after discovery.
- Alterations, modifications, penetrations, or repairs performed by parties other than the Contractor.
- Impact damage, fire, vandalism, animals, chemical exposure, or other external sources.
- Leaks caused by clogged or improperly maintained gutters, drains, scuppers, or downspouts.
- Material defects or manufacturer issues (materials are covered, if at all, under the manufacturer’s warranty).
4. Limitations of Liability
The Contractor’s liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or reinstallation of only those components of the roofing system directly affected by defective labor.
No coverage is provided for consequential or incidental damages (including interior finishes, contents, loss of use, or mold remediation), except to the extent required by applicable law.
5. Notification and Claims
All claims under this warranty must be submitted in writing within ten (10) calendar days of discovering the condition. The Owner must provide reasonable access for inspection and repair.
6. Governing Law
This warranty is governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
